The Archeological Site of Ollantaytambo was an ancient archaeological site that was a city, a fort and a royal estate for the Elite Inca. The site has running water coming out of tree aqueducts and collecting into small pools. The Inca built aqueducts to increase arable land and provide drinking water and baths to their citizens.

The Site’s main pyramid is called “The Royal House of the Sun” and consists of 17 very large terraces with each one facing town. Your tour guide will explain everything there is to know about the amazing Archeological Site of Ollantaytambo.

This is where we enjoy a nice picnic lunch prepared by our local chef.

The Salt Mines of Maras (aka Salineras de Maras Peru) are about 50 kms northeast of Cusco. The salt mines consist of about 4,500 salt wells on stepped terraces in the middle slope of the hill Qaqawiñay. The salt pans are still used today in exactly the same way they used to be at the time of the Incas.

Thank you for an unforgettable day to the Sacred Valley! We had so much fun with guide Edwin, saw unbelievable sights, and learned a ton about Peruvian Culture. Thanks for customizing the itinerary for us and making the day so special with personal and professional details. The pick up was on time, car was clean, driver was safe, food was excellent, and guide Edwin was professional, knowledgeable, flexible, and personable. The day could not have been better. Nilton, we really appreciate all the hard work and coordination that went into planning this day.
